foursquare is the new time card.
you heard it here first, folks. foursquare, everyone's favorite location-based mobile check-in tool (that's a mouth full), is the new time card. just like pink is the new black and facebook is the new email. think about it. the whole point of a time-card is to let your boss, and everyone you work with, know where you are and when, for how long, and when you leave. now, what is the point of foursquare? to let your friends, family, coworkers, dates, basically everyone (yes, everyone - especially if you sync your check-ins with any other social network) know where you are and when, for how long, and when leave (by announcing your arrival at your next place.)
so towhit henceforth thereof (and other silly sounding words) foursquare has become the defacto modern day time-card. take me for example. on any given day i checkin:
- doing a track work out (mayorship of east sixth track here i come!)
- when i drop the dog off at daycare
- getting my coffee
- finally arriving in the office
- running to the deli for lunch
- mailing mom a postcard
- happy hour networking drinks
- late night food craving
try that on for size.
my roommates got a dog
and her name is sophia (aka flash)! she's a 7 mo old border terrier. can't wait for you all to meet her!
