Adopt the Internet (and a dog...)
Today is a very special day. It is Adopt the Internet day - a celebration of online pet adoption site, petfinder.com.There are a lot of ways to help spread the word and find a homeless animal a home. First, you can always adopt yourself (hint, hint). Second, you can use your facebook status, twitter feed, and blog to help guilt your friends into sharing info and also maybe adopting. Having a pet is a life changing wonderful experience. I have had pets my whole life (mostly dogs) and I wouldn't have it any other way. The photos in this post are of Ali, the white dog, who was successfully adopted via petfinder (not to me); Bronx, the elderly Miniature Pinscher I rescued but ultimately had to be put down last year, and my two amazing dogs Cinnamon the red Miniature Pinscher and Bella the Italian Greyhound. In honor of these guys, I spread the word.
